PH.D. STUDENTS

There are multiple Ph.D. scholarships available in the lab. Students will obtain Ph.D. degree from School of Computer Science and Engineering, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. 

 

Students must be willing to work on multi-disciplinary research projects at the intersection of computational neuroscience and AI. This includes designing human behavioral experiments and collecting human responses, alongside developing computational models of cognitive functions (visual attention, eye movements, visual perception, memory, context reasoning, and multi-agent decision making). Basic language tests to pass the admission criteria: TOEFL (above 100); IELTS (above 6.5); GRE (Q+V=319, AW-=3.5); 

*TOEFL and IETLS are compulsory for non-native English speakers

Requirements for PhD positions in computer vision or machine learning:

  1. Language (proficient in English reading/writing; all one-to-one meetings/group meetings are conducted in English)

Our lab welcomes self-funded exchange PhD students (such as CSC scholars from China).

 

Our lab might be able to fund exceptional PhD students from overseas universities for exchange programs (minimum duration: 12 months). There are multiple job openings available in the lab. Postdocs and research scientists with experiences in cognitive science and psychology, especially visual attention, eye movements, visual perception, memory, multi-agent decision making, and reasoning are most welcome.  Computer vision and reinforcement learning researchers who are curious and enthusiastic about basic science in biological vision and cognition are also welcome.
